Alice T. Liu is the Director of Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) at Jhpiego where she is responsible for the strategy, development and implementation of health system strengthening ICT interventions in limited-resource environments.  She has ten years of development sector experience in ICTs for global health, financial services (mobile money), and agriculture. At Jhpiego Ms. Liu leads a team of four headquarters-based staff who liaise with Jhpiego field staff to ensure the application of ICT4D best practices and innovative solutions for program initiatives.  She developed a five-year ICT strategy for Jhpiego, is advising on the development of a mobile application for labor management (ePartogram) and leading the technology component of the development of a mobile game for adolescents and youth to address sexual and reproductive health.  Before joining Jhpiego, Ms. Liu applied her skills for organizations such as WHO, Rockefeller Foundation, Voxiva, FHI360, Mercy Corps, and Chemonics. She spent the first 15 years of her career in Silicon Valley managing teams of 10-30 people to deliver multi-million dollar ecommerce, data warehouse, and customer relationship management systems for pioneering technology companies.  Ms. Liu earned her MBA from Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of California Santa Barbara.
