JEAN-LUC NEPTUNE

Partner, Executive Director & Accelerator Leader, Blueprint Health

Jean-Luc (“JL”) Neptune is a licensed physician, entrepreneur, and investor who is currently a partner at Blueprint Health, a leading digital health accelerator.  Blueprint Health was founded in 2011 and since its founding has invested in 77 digital health companies of which 85% of still currently operating.  Blueprint Health portfolio companies have collectively raised $100mm in funding and in total have an aggregate value of $500mm.

 Prior to joining Blueprint Health Jean-Luc was Senior Vice President at Health 2.0 and Director of the Health 2.0 Catalyst program (formerly known as the Developer Challenge program). Through the Catalyst program Health 2.0 has run over 75 innovation competitions and offered over more than $7mm in prizes to a network of thousands of developers, designers and technologists.  The Catalyst Platform was the engine behind the ONC "Investing in Innovation" initiative, and has also powered competitions for private sector clients such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Novartis, Allscripts, and the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

 Prior to joining Health 2.0 Jean-Luc co-founded two digital health startups including Healogica, an online clinical trials matching platform (acquired by the Michael J. Fox Foundation), and ExpertConsensus, a virtual second opinion service.

JL earned an BA from Columbia College at Columbia University, an MD from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an MBA at the Wharton School in Philadelphia, focusing on health care and entrepreneurial management and graduating with honors.  Jean-Luc completed a residency in internal medicine at Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, passed the ABIM board examination, and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York.
