Director, External Relations, Operation ASHA, India
Urvashi currently holds the position of Director, External Relations at Operation ASHA. Operation ASHA is the largest Tuberculosis control NGO in India combining community engagement and technology to ensure delivery of quality healthcare to the last mile. Previously, Urvashi managed the health, water and sanitation portfolio of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in India. She recently worked as a consultant for the World Health Organisation in Geneva and Partnership for Child Development, Imperial College London. Urvashi is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community. She has written on various topics related to public health and gender for the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Huffington Post India, NextBillion.net and the World Economic Forum blog. She completed her Bachelors in Genetics from University of Birmingham, UK followed by an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from University of Cambridge, UK and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
